Founder Bio

Arturo A. Fernandez | Founder & Principal
For Arturo Fernandez, construction is more than a profession—it is a family legacy. Following in the footsteps of his father, Arturo Sr., and uncles, Arturo has carried forward a proud tradition of building in Arizona since the age of 18. His journey has spanned nearly every sector—medical, education, industrial, aviation, retail, and more—overseeing projects from $50,000 tenant improvements to $300+ million ground-up mid-rise buildings. Together with his wife Catherine and their three children, Arturo founded Stone Oak Construction & Design to honor that lineage and extend it to future generations. Even the company’s crimson red and cream colors pay homage to the family firm where his career began. With SOCD, Arturo is committed to positively impacting the community, delivering spaces that inspire, and building a legacy his children and clients alike can be proud of.
